Back in January, Chevrolet announced plans for a Blazer EV, followed by a teaser in March that really piqued our interest. Now today we got our first look at the upcoming electric crossover, and it’s REALLY sharp looking, nothing like the Blazer SUV that it shares its nameplate with. (And that’s a good thing)
Developed from the ground up, the all-new Chevy Blazer EV offers a groundbreaking mix of style, performance and technology, and the SS badge and those high-performance tires lead us to believe that this car to prioritize power over range, perhaps targeting something like the Mustang Mach-E GT. And that makes perfect sense, given that the Bolt EV already takes care of customers looking for an efficient commuter.
While details are sparce, we do know that the new Blazer EV should ride on GM’s Ultium EV architecture. We’ll hopefully learn more about the car’s range, price, performance numbers, availability and more when it’s official unveiled on July 18th.
I’m honestly pretty excited about the all-new Blazer EV, and I can’t wait to learn more when it’s unveiled next month!
